The PADI AWARE Shark Conservation Specialty introduces you to their vital role in healthy marine ecosystems and shows you how divers can take action to protect them. What you’ll learn
Through a mix of knowledge sessions and open water dives, you’ll discover:
• Why sharks are important for ocean balance and reef health
• The main threats sharks face, from overfishing to habitat loss

Who can join?
• Minimum age: 12 years
• Certification required: PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)

Typically completed in 1–2 days, including a knowledge session and 2 open water dives.
