Make every dive count for the ocean! The PADI Dive Against Debris Specialty turns your passion for diving into direct action. You’ll learn how to remove marine debris safely and record your findings as part of a global citizen science movement led by Project AWARE. Every data entry helps researchers and conservationists fight marine pollution worldwide.

What you’ll learn
During the course you’ll:
• Plan and conduct a survey dive to remove underwater debris
• Practice safe collection and removal techniques
• Record and report data on the Dive Against Debris database
• Understand the impact of marine debris and how divers can make a difference

Who can join?
• Minimum age: 12 years
• Certification required: PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)

Course duration
Usually completed in 1 day, including a knowledge session and 1 open water dive.
