Open Water Diver

Have you always dreamed of exploring the underwater world? The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular scuba certification in the world and your first step into a lifetime of adventure beneath the surface. Upon completion, you’ll be internationally certified to dive independently with a buddy to a depth of 18 meters – anywhere in the world.

What you’ll learn
During the course, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills needed to dive safely and comfortably:

Knowledge development – learn how scuba diving works, how pressure affects your body, and how to use your equipment.
• Confined water sessions – practice essential skills in shallow, calm water: clearing your mask, controlling buoyancy, buddy checks, and more.
• Open water dives – make four training dives in the ocean, applying your skills while discovering vibrant marine life and coral reefs.

Who can join?
• Minimum age: 10 years (ages 10–14 earn the Junior Open Water Diver certification).
• Swimming ability: 200 meters without aids OR 300 meters with mask, fins, and snorkel, 10 minutes floating or treading water
• Good overall health (a medical statement may be required

Typically 3 to 4 days, depending on your schedule and pace.
